One of the world's premier platforms for textile technology – the ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition – will be held from 9 to 13 June 2026 at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul. The event is widely recognised as a key barometer for global textile technology trends, and is expected to draw industry elites from around the world to explore forward-looking solutions.

A major highlight of this edition is the first joint appearance of Switzerland's Rieter and its German subsidiary Barmag. In 2025, Rieter acquired Barmag from OC Oerlikon, and the two companies will exhibit together in Hall 7, alongside Rieter’s sub‑brands Accotex, Bräcker, Graf, Novibra, Suessen, SSM and Temco. According to an official Rieter statement, the two companies will focus on their latest innovations in automation and digitalisation – key components of Rieter’s “Vision 2027” to achieve fully automated spinning mills. The exhibit will cover step‑by‑step implementation of fully automated ring and compact spinning mills, as well as latest results in recycled fibre processing with partners. In the man‑made fibre segment, Barmag will present its complete system solutions for filament yarn, staple fibre and nonwovens, along with networked plant concepts.
ITM 2026 will also serve as a showcase for deep AI integration into textile production: both companies will present AI‑based automation solutions covering production, packaging and logistics. Drawing on the record‑breaking success of the previous edition (the 2024 fair brought together 1,385 companies from 71 countries and attracted 66,200 professional visitors from 99 countries, generating billions of euros in equipment sales and contracts), this year’s event is highly anticipated for its influence and business potential.
